Kids Fitness Made Fun is a high energy fun filled exercise class for kids. This class strives to
increase the overall health and fitness level of children in a fun, safe, positive and motivating environment
by utilizing obstacle courses, fitness games, partner activities, body weight exercises, resistance bands,
circuits and
more.
It is the mission of Kids Fitness Made
Fun to create an environment where children associate fitness with fun.
It is our belief that a positive association with fitness at an early age will foster
healthy adult living habits for
life.
Fun is not to be mistaken for a lack of hard work.
We feel that the fun in fitness comes from challenging oneself to improve with every challenge. To work together
as a team to accomplish a common goal. Fun is found in the friendships made and physical challenges
overcome.
At Kids Fitness Made Fun, we emphasize full body
development which includes improving ones balance, strength, spatial awareness, coordination, endurance,
flexibility, and teamwork skills. This is all accomplished by carefully selecting the age appropriate
activities that will allow children to develop at their own rate. Through movement exploration and
focused lessons on proper form and execution children will have a blast getting
fit.
A major asset to
the Kids Fitness Made Fun program is our ability to "disguise" exercising within a huge variety of
games. When children play they are having fun and that is how we give kids great work outs like they
have never had.
Every child is
encouraged to work at their own fitness level while being motivated to push themselves harder with each
class. We are very aware of the many different social pressures many children face with weight
issues, lack of coordination, and overall low self esteem. At Kids Fitness Made Fun we have created a
"safe place" for children to be themselves no matter what their situation may be. It is extremely
important to us that every child feels comfortable coming to class no matter what their athletic skill level
may or may not be. Over competitiveness is not tolerated while support and encouragement is
stressed.
Education is
placed on healthy eating habits, proper execution of individual exercises, and muscle group
terminology.
Overall, Kids Fitness Made Fun is a great class for any
child how needs to get moving, needs some motivation, who love fitness, those who don't love fitness (yet),
anyone who needs to lose some weight, and especially those who don't excel in physical activities such as
sports.
It is our goal that every child who participates in one of our classes leaves
with a smile on their faces, sweaty, and healthier, and more educated than when they
came.
